Professor Whiskey’s Traveling Bizarre Bazaar Fairytales show review

I had the privilege to attend Professor Whiskey’s Presents: Fairytales at Eclipse this past Saturday night. This was not my first Professor Whiskey’s Traveling Bizarre Bazaar show, I have attended many, each one more entertaining than the previous.
I must confess; though I am a glass is half full lets make some lemonade sort of guy, I have been waiting for them to slip up, waiting for the creativity to wane, waiting for the energy level to drop as so often happens with local live performance troupes.

I am happy to say I might just as well wait until Hell freezes over and I stand by an earlier assessment I made of the group;
“There is no better entertainment value in our city than a Professor Whiskey Show. No where else can you get Comedy, Burlesque, Hooping, a Fire Show by none other than Jacksonville’s premier fire performance troupe, Molotov Cocktail Party, as well as musical performances by Shawn Lightfoot, Jessabell Darling and Ramona Rhapsody. Multiple talents all for one price.”

The theme for the evening was Fairy Tales. I saw The Mad Hatter, Alice, from Wonderland, Tinkerbell, A Stormtrooper, Fairies in various forms from various genres, Woodland Nymphs, Water Sprites, Little Red Riding Hood(s) and that was just in the audience! The Professor knocks $2 off the event ticket price for guests who arrive in costume. The audience was so into the show I believe they would have dressed the part regardless.

The show was not to be missed and if you missed it all I can say is don’t miss the next one.
Normally I’d give a short summary but I read a post on facebook which summarizes it nicely, if not step by step, at least heart by heart, and that my friend, is a Professor Whiskey show.

“Professor Whiskey’s Fairytales show last night at Eclipse, where the theme was fables, glitter, and unbridled glory. There are so many fantastic people working so hard to bring an absolutely unprecedented level of entertainment to you that I honestly just feel bad when you miss it. Like swaddle-you-in-a-blanket-and-sing-you-lullabies-feel-bad.”
