MOCA Play series begins with a reading of MLK BLVD

Phase Eight Theater Company will begin their  MOCA Play Series with a reading of MLK BLVD. The wonderful writing of Juilliard student, Julian Robertson, has captured the imagination and emotions of all who witness his work. Phase Eight, MOCA supporters and the Jacksonville community at large are invited  to the reading, January 18th. 2018.

In MLK BLVD, a young man struggles to dream beyond a life on the street; searching for reasons to hope for a different future. After being confronted by the greatest challenge he has ever known, he strives to find a way for his people to achieve safety, freedom, and glory. His attempts to create a place for himself in the world come with an incomprehensibly grave cost.

Reading with MOCA will be an ensemble of gifted actors.
