Mayor-elect Donna Deegan will be sworn into office as the city’s first female mayor with a ceremony tomorrow morning at the Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts. The ceremony is open to the public and begins at 11:30 a.m.
But first, the inauguration weekend kicks off this morning with a 9 a.m. prayer breakfast at the Garden Club of Jacksonville and a celebration at the Hyatt Regency Riverfront at 5:30 p.m. After tomorrow’s swearing-in ceremony, there will be an inaugural ball at the River Club.
