Local Bacardi plant switches from rum to hand sanitizer

The Bacardi Bottling plant on the Northside has shifted all of their production from rum to hand sanitizer and will make more than 24,000 gallons to be distributed to healthcare workers and emergency responders all over Florida.

They delivered a large batch to JaxReady earlier today to be distributed to local hospitals and medical facilities.

They released the following statement’
Here at BACARDÍ, we’ve always considered our community to be part of our family. In an effort to address the sanitizer shortage, we’ve shifted some of our production in Puerto Rico, the US and Mexico to produce and donate over half a million bottles of hand sanitizer.

Thanks you, Bacardi!
