Keep Jacksonville Beautiful awards

Keep Jacksonville Beautiful and the City of Jacksonville are accepting nominations for the 15th annual Keep Jacksonville Beautiful awards.Deadline is February 7th.

The Keep Jacksonville Beautiful Commission is our local, grassroots affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, the nation’s largest volunteer-based community action and education organization. Made up of volunteer representatives of the public, private and not-for-profit sectors appointed by the mayor of Jacksonville, the commission meets bi-monthly, with committees meeting separately on the months in between. The commission provides leadership and direction for the projects of Keep Jacksonville Beautiful and approves any expenditures necessary to make those projects possible. All meetings are open to the public.

2020 KJB Awards Applications

Keep Jacksonville Beautiful and the City of Jacksonville will be accepting nominations until Febraury 7, 2020 for the 16th annual, Keep Jacksonville Beautiful awards. These awards showcase individuals, businesses, organizations and schools that have made strides to keep the city clean in 2019.
 
Applicants will be judged in three areas and should demonstrate that they have made outstanding and ongoing efforts in:
(1) beautification
(2) litter/graffiti prevention
(3) litter cleanup in Duval County. 
 
Nominees should send an application, including a summary of achievements and any supporting documents, to ddurbec@coj.net or by mail to: Keep Jacksonville Beautiful (214 N. Hogan St., 5th Floor, Jacksonville, Florida, 32218) no later than Friday, Febrruary 7, 2020.

The awards will be presented at the KJB Volunteer Recognition event 6 p.m., Friday, February 28 in the Riverfront Café in the Haskell Building, 111 Riverside Avenue.
