JEA rates are going down

After months of getting utility bills that make you say, “Mama mia!” JEA customers will get a break in November. The projected rate is the lowest in five months, due to an unexpected drop in the cost of the natural gas that the city-owned utility uses to generate electricity. That cost, which JEA passes along to customers, is about half of the rate in October and September. (The Florida Times-Union)
