The annual Jacksonville Jazz Fest began 3 decades ago. It is now one of the largest jazz festivals in the country. It will be held May 23-26 2019 in downtown Jacksonville.
The Jacksonville Jazz Festival is a weekend celebration of jazz in Jacksonville, Florida. Fest will be back and bigger than ever. The festival will feature two live entertainment stages, a free jazz clinic at the Ritz Theatre, local food, drinks, shopping, and entertainment.
A 30-year tradition, The Jacksonville Jazz Piano Competition, takes place at the Florida Theatre. Five finalists are awarded a cash prize and a chance to perform on the festival’s main stage. Arts and crafts vendors are located throughout the downtown areas. Art mediums include clay, digital, drawing, fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, mixed media, painting, sculpture, and wood.
The new addition to the Jazz Fest, the Jazz Marketplace, will host local artists, vendors, and creators where customer can come and shop.
While the event is free to attend, one-day and three-day VIP passes are available for exclusive seating, preferred parking, and complimentary food and beverages, great food, good fun and plenty of FREE live entertainment.
