Florida Theatre’s 2017 Summer Movie Classic Series

Tickets are on sale now for the Florida Theatre’s annual Summer Movie Classics Series, which will begin on June 25 with a showing of the 30th anniversary of
The Lost Boys. Kevin Stone, Director of Programming for the Florida Theatre said, “The movies in this year’s series represent a diverse mix of memorable classic movies that are celebrating their own anniversary years.”

The 10-week movie series includes something for all audiences. This year’s lineup includes:
A Few Good Men (25th Anniversary) July 2
Casino Royale (50th Anniversary) July 9
A League of Their Own (25th Anniversary) July 16
Scent of A Women (25th Anniversary) July 23
Cool Hand Luke (50th Anniversary) July 30
The Jungle Book (1967 animated film, 50th Anniversary) Aug. 6
Space Balls (30th Anniversary) Aug. 13
In The Heat of the Night (50th Anniversary) Aug. 20
Dirty Dancing (30th Anniversary) Aug. 27

The Summer Movie Classics Series is sponsored by Regions Bank and media partner the Florida Times Union. Summer Movie Classics Series tickets are on sale to the public beginning May 5. All show times are 2 pm. There are 10 movies in the series, which starts at 2 p.m. Sunday with “The Lost Boys.” It continues with a different title each Sunday afternoon through Aug. 27.Individual tickets are $7.50. A movie card costs $45 and is good for 10 admissions.
