Five educators are finalists for Duval County Teacher of the Year. The finalists, announced by the Jacksonville Public Education Fund, are:
- Kartian Bias, who teaches 3rd to 5th grade at Garden City Elementary
- Argel Hipol, a biology teacher at Westside High
- Andrew Lodge, music teacher at San Mateo Elementary
- Julia Mayeshiba, who teaches math and physics at Andrew Jackson High
- Ashley Watkins, grade 1-3 teacher at J. Allen Axson Montessori
The winner will be announced Feb. 10th.
