Echosmith headlined the One Spark festival opening ceremony in Hemming Park last night in downtown Jacksonville, FL.
Echosmith, the name “…stems from the concept of a blacksmith, but in shaping sounds instead of metal.”
The Rock/Indie Pop band made up of three brothers and their sister hails from Toluca Lake, California.
Their hit song “Cool Kids” made it to #13 on the Billboard Hot 100. Their single “Bright” is also on the Hot 100, currently at #93.
Lead singer, Sydney spun a beautiful parasol during “Talking Dreams,” in what has become a tradition of sorts for Echosmith live performances.
Thankfully the weather stayed cool and rainfree and her parasol was not otherwise needed.
She also gave a little background/sermon about acceptance before giving the fans what they had been anxiously waiting for, “Cool Kids”
With their upbeat personalities, heartfelt vocals, passionate guitar riffs, frequent selfies taken with the audience as well as two lucky fans who were invited on stage, it felt like hanging with the cool kids at a block party.
Who better to open one of the worlds’ largest block parties!
