Animal Care and Protective Services is at critical capacity

Animal Care & Protective Services is dangerously close to having no kennels available for incoming dogs. They are asking for help; Jax-we need your help! ACPS is at critical capacity. Just today we took in 27 dogs. We are currently caring for 254 dogs. Without your help, we will be over- capacity in the next few days. Here’s how you can help:

Adopt-We have 103 dogs currently available for adoption. New dogs are added daily. Take a chance on the shy ones or the ones that don’t show well in their kennels. They can make great additions to your family. These are just a few of the wonderful dogs we have available for adoption.

Foster-Even a short break from the shelter can make a significant impact on a dog. You can foster for a day, two days, two weeks, or more! Become an Adoption Ambassador and help your foster meet their new family. We will give you everything you need to get started.

Found Pets-Bringing a healthy, stray dog to the shelter should be the last thing that you do. Most lost pets live within a mile of where they are found. Walk the neighborhood and speak to neighbors, post on social, scan for a microchip, and post flyers first. Consider fostering the dog until you can reunite them with their owner.
