Animal Care and Protective Services is asking for your help

Animal Care and Protective Services needs your help.

“Animal Care and Protective Services is currently caring for 325 dogs in the shelter. This exceeds or maximum physical capacity for dog housing by more than 50 dogs. We simply do not have any more space to house dogs or the staff and volunteers to care for them.

We desperately need our animal loving community to help us find placement for at least 75 medium and large dogs by the end of the week. Now is the time to put on your lifesaving superhero cape and head on over to 2020 Forest Street to adopt or foster. We are open weekdays from 12 p.m. until 7 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. All pets available for adoption can be viewed online at coj.net/adopt.
If you are not able to adopt or foster, please share to help us let the community know that there are hundreds of pets waiting to meet them! The adoption fee for dogs over 25 pounds will be waived now through Sunday.”
