A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving 2020

Apple TV+ became the home of the comic strip’s iconic holiday specials last month, pulling them from airwaves and making them exclusive to the streamer. However, following a new deal with PBS, “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” and “A Charlie Brown Christmas” will air on the service, as well as its family-focused channel, PBS KIDS. The specials will continue to stream on Apple TV+ as well.

Tune into PBS and PBS Kids on November 22, at 7:30 p.m. local time to watch A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. In the Thanksgiving Day special, Charlie Brown hosts the first recorded Friendsgiving with Snoopy, Woodstock, Peppermint Patty, Franklin and the rest of the gang.

A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving is the tenth prime-time animated short film based upon the popular comic strip Peanuts, by Charles M. Schulz. It was originally aired on the CBS network on November 20, 1973, and won an Emmy Award the following year. The special continues to be aired every November in prime time, now on the ABC network. It was the third holiday special after A Charlie Brown Christmas in 1965 and It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown in 1966.
