March 9th is World DJ Day. World DJ Day has been celebrated since 2002. Many think of it as a day to show some appreciation to your DJ and, in a way, that is part of it. You show some appreciation to your DJ, for the record, tips are highly appreciated, and your DJ helps out a Children’s Charity.
The event was originated by the World DJ Fund Foundation and Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy, which uses music to treat children and adults. All monies earned by the participating DJs / Clubs / Radio stations, on World DJ Day go to various children’s fonds and international institutions.
World DJ Day has become a global fund raising effort to benefit many children’s charities around the world.
World DJ Day is asking every DJ to give up their fees for one night and donate the proceeds to a children’s charity in their home city or around the world.
Since March is Women’s History month why not celebrate World DJ Day with one of Jax’s Lady DJ’s?
Friday, at Rain Dogs you can catch DJ Pizza Galore; the party rockin’, song droppin’, pop lockin’, sound shockin’, lean mean dancin’ machine on the scene, Babe Ruth in a booth.
Whether it’s World DJ Day or not, it’s always a good time for Pizza!
Tomorrow, also at Rain Dogs for Beats, Brunch and Bubbly you’ll find DJ Honeydo spinning fresh, smooth, eclectic sounds that will make your heart smile. Your belly will smile too from the brunch prepared by Brooks Brothers BBQ and the Mimosas by Mas Appeal.
