A local football coach was shot 10 times while trying to shield young players in his car during a drive-by shooting this past weekend, the man’s attorney says. Thirteen-year-old Prince Holland died in the shooting, which prompted city leaders to put additional resources toward curbing violence. Local attorney John Phillips, who’s representing the driver, said the coach was facing several surgeries for injuries suffered in the shooting. No suspects have been identified.
