Organizers of the annual July 5th Beaches Cleanup are encouraging volunteers to put the event on their calendars. Last year, 221 volunteers picked up 3,000 pounds of debris — that’s roughly the weight of a compact car — at Jacksonville, Neptune and Atlantic beaches.
