Yesterday, the Singleton Senior Center hosted its Grand Re-Opening event. During COVID, the center underwent extensive aesthetic and functional renovations and Saturday was a celebration of all the hard work that has gone into the center. The seniors heard the history of Mary L. Singleton, enjoyed a special lunch and entertainment from center dancers. Speakers included Dr. Charles Moreland, Director of Community & International Affairs, Daryl Joseph, Director of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services, Leslie Scott Jean-Bart, local attorney and grand-daughter of Mary L. Singleton, and Reginald Gaffney, Councilman District 7.
Thank you to everyone who attended the event, and to those whose hard work made the day possible!
