Two new kayak launches in Jacksonville have recently opened for public use that provide improved access to very scenic areas. One is on the Ortega River at Tillie K. Fowler Regional Park via a new park entrance immediately east of the Timuquana Road Bridge at 4882 Timuquana Rd. The other launch is along the upper stretch of Clapboard Creek located in the new Bradley Pond neighborhood off Cedar Point Road located at 12240 Clapboard Bluff Trail. Please note that both launches are open sunrise to sunset and may not be accessible at low tide so plan your trips accordingly. Happy paddling!
