Protect your bike from theft and register for free “Bicycle DNA” stickers February 24th & 25th at James Weldon Johnson Park. Our Transportation and Planning Division, along with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and Protechdna will be on hand from 2-5pm both days to register your bike.
Participants will receive special registration stickers called “Bicycle DNA” with serial code microdots embedded within the adhesive so law enforcement can identify the property owner even if the stickers are removed. Bike DNA not only registers your bike with JSO but can also be scanned by bike shops, online markets, and pawn shops, to help recover stolen property.
There will be raffles for bike locks along with free helmets, LED safety armbands, reflective logo backpacks, and more while supplies last.
