Florida’s “Move Over” law was recently expanded. Currently, drivers need to move over to another lane or slow down significantly if certain vehicles are stopped on the side of the road: police, emergency responders, tow trucks, utility or sanitation workers, or maintenance or construction vehicles. But starting January 1st, drivers will also need to move over or slow down for any vehicle that is stopped with its hazard lights on, road flares or emergency signs displayed, or if people are visible
