Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department Fire Station 64 on the Northside is now operational. We’re grateful for faster response times and lower insurance rates for residents and businesses in the area.
“I am proud to support JFRD and the brave women and men who serve,” said Mayor Deegan. “I look forward to seeing these investments support their work and take shape in neighborhoods across the city. Public safety will continue to be a top priority of our administration. Let’s keep working together to make Jacksonville a safer place for all of us.”
New Fire Station 64 is also just one of two fire stations in the City that house a Critical Care Unit, an ambulance of sorts with more technology and life-saving equipment than a rescue unit.
