The Jacksonville City Council is considering erecting a memorial marker near the Dollar General on Kings Road where three people were killed in a hate-motivated mass shooting one year ago. If approved, the marker would be installed at Kings Road and North Canal Street on Aug. 25, the day before the one-year anniversary of the shooting. $10,000 has been set aside for design, installation and maintenance of the marker.
