CoRK Arts District is hosting its annual fall Open Studios event on Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 12 to 6 pm. The studios will be open to the public and visitors are welcome to enjoy a self-guided tour of artists’ studios. The tour will run between 8 buildings with over 70 artists participating and is a free event.
Visitors will have the chance to walk and explore the district facilities, interact with the artists, watch them create during scheduled demonstrations, purchase original artwork and get a behind-the-scenes look at artists & their practice. With disciplines ranging from painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, woodworking, performance art and more, Open Studios will be a fantastic opportunity to experience the creative energy of CoRK and gain a better understanding of our art community. There will be satellite events at locations surrounding CoRK featuring Metacusp Studios, Canvas & Clay Studio, Space 42 and the Yellow House on the day of Open Studios.
CoRK Arts District is over 80,000 square feet of warehouse space converted to artist studios and galleries. They are not open to the public on a daily basis; access can be gained during publicly advertised events or by appointment. CoRK (Corner of Rosselle & King) is located on the corner of Rosselle and King Streets in North Riverside, Jacksonville, FL.
