CoRK Arts District is hosting its annual fall Open Studios event on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 12 to 8 PM. All artist studios and personal work spaces will be open to the public and visitors are welcome to enjoy a self-guided tour of those studios. The tour will run between 8 buildings with over 70 artists participating. Visitors will have the chance to walk and explore the district facilities, interact with the artists, watch them create during demonstrations, purchase original artwork and get a behind-the-scenes look at the CoRK residents & their practice. The event will be free and family friendly.
With disciplines ranging from painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, woodworking, performance art and more, Open Studios is a fantastic opportunity to experience the creative energy of the CoRK Arts District and gain a better understanding of the art community in Jacksonville. Many of the businesses located near CoRK will also be open during Open Studio hours, including Yellow House, Metacusp Studios, Renaissance Jax, Endangered Wisemen Recording Studios, Space 42 and Distilled Furniture Studio.
