City unveils adaptive kayak launches at Hanna Park

The City of Jacksonville’s Disabled Services Division with the Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department and Brooks Rehabilitation unveiled the first of three adaptive kayak launches at Hanna Park. The other two will be in Mandarin Park and Bethesda Park. What a great way for everybody to get out and enjoy our parks. “It is all about inclusion.”

Adaptive Recreation in Jacksonville

The City of Jacksonville Disabled Services Division is proud to partner with many local rehabilitation and non-profit agencies to provide Adaptive Recreation in the City of Jacksonville. Our partnerships with these organizations provide individuals with disabilities the opportunity to participate in sports in our City Parks, compete against local and national athletes, and improve their quality of life and athletic ability across a wide range of sports and recreational activities.
