The eyes are said to be the windows to the soul, so what exactly do we see when we look into the eyes of another person? Often we know nothing about the people we stand next to, avoiding looking into each other’s eyes, yet we share our lives with these people for brief moments everyday. This exhibition is designed to take us deep into the eyes, perspectives and experiences of the varied cultures, ethnicities, religions, ages and races that make up the Jacksonville community.
In the spirit of walking down different streets, Jacksonville based photographers, Toni Smailagic and Khalil Osborne have created captivating photographs that give us a glimpse into the melting pot that Jacksonville has become. These two artists, with their own diverse backgrounds, are exactly who we need turn toward to record our changed world.
This exhibition opening is free and open to the community. Music, Glenfiddich Cocktail Bar and curated culinary stations will all be available
