Attention active transportation professionals and advocates: Registration is open for FHWA: Designing for Pedestrian Safety 101 – A free two-day training workshop to be held on January 23-24, 2023
Hosted by Federal Highway Administration and City of Jacksonville staff, this training workshop is designed for engineers, planners, developers, advocates, and other transportation practitioners that design, engage in planning, or implement policies and programs related to pedestrian facilities.
Modules will include:
 Types of pedestrian facilities
 Pedestrian safety at intersections
 Crosswalks
 RRFBs/PHBs
 ADA
 Design users
 Local design case studies
 + Optional field visit (downtown walk)
