Christina Wagner, a neighbor to know

Christina Wagner is a local  entrepreneur and musician.
She is Co-owner of both  Rain Dogs and Nighthawks, President of the 5 Points Merchants Association, a talented singer, songwriter, and guitarist. She is also  one of the nicest people you will ever meet, in this or any other city.

She is the reason for the addition of “Neighbors to Know” in the Jax Examiner lineup.
I was watching one of her impromptu performances at Rain Dogs, one of many reasons for you to go to Rain Dogs and personally, the top of my list, is there is always a chance that Christina will grab her guitar and sing a song or two.

One night while she was singing, a mutual friend turned to me and said, you should write about Christina, nothing nosy or intrusive, just something so others would know what a great person she is, the kind of neighbor Mr. Rogers would have wanted in his neighborhood.

I thought about that for a moment, what better way to learn about a neighbor than to ask their neighbors.That is just what I did.

What six of your neighbors had to say about Christina Wagner;

“She runs two bars/music venues but you’re just as likely to find her at another local bar or club, supporting them or helping them in some way, because  she’s not satisfied with just her own success, she wants everyone else  to be successful too.”

“She was part of the Heartbeat of the Bold City speaker series, that was no coincidence. She has a big heart.”

“Beautiful, inside and out, with a singing voice that hugs my soul.”

“When she asks how are you doing, she really wants to know and she listens to your reply.”

“I don’t know a better person. I have seen her help others and then help some more to the point she was rolling coins to pay her own rent.”

And the one that started it all;
“She is the kind of neighbor Mr. Rogers would have wanted in his neighborhood.”
